Very fascinating and quite informative

I am a student of Ancient Mesopotamia, therefore i'm invariably searching for new book on ancient history. This fat very little book is crammed jam-packed with data on the traditional and Classical worlds. Organized within the sort of discrete essays, the essays are then presented by subject - the sting of History, Firsts, Struggle, Empires and Identity - with the essays then sorted into chronological order. every of the essays is extremely fascinating and quite informative, and along the method the reader is treated to an honest range of images, timelines and maps.

Overall, I found this book to be a superb book, giving the reader an honest feel for ancient history within the Mediterranean, Mesopotamia, India, and China. (The last 2 are usually under-represented in older books.) i believe terribly highly of this book, and suggest it to any or all students of history.
