Very attention-grabbing and quite informative

I am a student of Ancient Mesopotamia, therefore i'm invariably searching for new book on ancient history. This fat very little book is crammed choked with info on the traditional and Classical worlds. Organized within the style of discrete essays, the essays are then presented by subject - the sting of History, Firsts, Struggle, Empires and Identity - with the essays then sorted into chronological order. every of the essays is extremely attention-grabbing and quite informative, and along the approach the reader is treated to a decent range of images, timelines and maps.
Overall, I found this book to be a wonderful book, giving the reader a decent feel for ancient history within the Mediterranean, Mesopotamia, India, and China. (The last 2 are usually under-represented in older books.) i feel terribly highly of this book, and suggest it to any or all students of history.
