This well-conceived book actually reminds us that political cartooning has held a large role in our nation's history -- and maybe over it's ever been given credit for. The authors build a stong case of cartooning's political vitality, past and gift. The book could be a terribly partaking and fun scan not solely thanks to its generous use of cartooning, however conjointly as a result of the authors take effort to place every cartoon they use into a fitting historical context. The reader is additionally on a guided tour of cartooning's historical phases, ranging from the eighteenth century. The authors recommend that some six completely different phases (eras) of yank political cartooning will be traced.
